Vehicle and twin-roller chassis dynamometer model considering slip tire interactions

xComputational representation of real-world systems plays an important role in vehicle analysis. Aiming to improve mobility systems, this article presents the development a chassis dynamometer and model describing longitudinal dynamics considering tire-bench contact. The simulates vehicle-bench tests where system is powered by bench’s electric motor gearbox neutral position, tire interaction forces, rolling resistance, losses. It was implemented Matlab/Simulink™ validated coast-down experiments, starting at 60 km/h 100 km/h, result curves presented appropriated representativity for experimental data. A total movement resistance analysis resulted mean error 6.71% when compared data, while literature slip-independent equations errors between 31.94% 77.61%. developed representative approximation vehicle-dynamometer set can predict helping evaluation process, saving time resources.
